I offer historically informed tours across Scotland, drawing on my ample experience guiding visitors through a wide range of locations. Whether you’re a single traveller or part of a larger group, I am happy to create personalised itineraries that bring Scotland’s history to life. My tours are rooted in the serious historical research I do as a professional historian, ensuring that every story is accurate, engaging, and memorable.
I also offer walking tours of Glasgow throughout the year. These can be designed as broad, historically focused explorations of the city or as tours with a strong Outlander focus. These tours reveal how Glasgow connects to both Scotland’s past and the world of the novels and TV series.
I am particularly known for my Outlander expertise, and I love sharing the real history behind the world Diana Gabaldon created. From Jacobite battlefields to atmospheric standing stones and clan strongholds, my Outlander tours connect the fiction to the fascinating facts of 18th-century Scotland.
Over the years I have welcomed guests from many different nationalities, and I can guide in both English and German. I’m flexible with times and happy to join any hired bus or private car tour. Please note that I don’t drive—I provide guiding only.
