Whether it’s checking small details of daily life, ensuring the wider historical setting rings true, or helping weave in intertextual references that give a story extra depth, I make sure the past feels vivid, believable, and consistent.
I have particular expertise in eighteenth-century history, but I welcome enquiries covering any period or theme. I work in both English and German, and can also advise on the translation of historical fiction from English into German – ensuring that cultural nuance, tone, and historical accuracy survive the journey between languages.
